To post an ad, you need to create a free account first. Once logged in, click the "Post Your Ad" button in the header. You will be guided through a step-by-step wizard where you can select a category, add your location, write a description, upload photos, and set your service details. Once submitted, your ad will be reviewed by our moderation team before going live.
Most ads are reviewed and approved within one to four hours during peak times. During quieter periods, it may take up to twelve hours. You will receive a notification once your ad has been approved and is live on the platform.
Yes, you can edit your ad at any time from the "Your Ads" section in your dashboard. Changes to text and details are updated immediately. If you change photos, they may require a brief re-review by our moderation team.
The number of ads you can post depends on your subscription plan. Free accounts can post one active ad. Higher-tier plans allow more active listings simultaneously. Check our pricing page for full details on each plan.

Verification

A verified badge indicates that the advertiser has completed our identity verification process. This means they have submitted identification documents that have been reviewed and approved by our team. Verification confirms the person behind the profile is who they claim to be, but it is not an endorsement of their services.
You can apply for verification from your dashboard under the "Verification" section. You will need to submit a valid government-issued photo ID. Our team reviews submissions and typically processes them within twenty-four to forty-eight hours. Once approved, your verification badge will appear on your profile and all your listings.
No, verification is completely voluntary. However, verified profiles tend to receive significantly more views and enquiries, as the badge builds trust with browsers. We strongly recommend it for all advertisers who want to maximise their visibility and credibility on the platform.

Payments & Subscriptions

We offer several subscription tiers, starting with a free plan that includes one active listing. Paid plans offer more listing slots, included boost tokens, priority support, and enhanced profile features. Visit our pricing page to compare all available plans and find the one that suits your needs.
You can upgrade or change your subscription at any time from the pricing page or your account dashboard. When you upgrade mid-cycle, you will be charged the prorated difference. Downgrades take effect at the end of your current billing period.
We accept all major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express) through our secure Stripe payment integration. All transactions are encrypted and processed in GBP. We do not store your full card details on our servers.
Yes, you can cancel your subscription at any time. Your plan benefits will remain active until the end of your current billing period. After cancellation, your account reverts to the free plan. You will not be charged again after cancellation.

Tokens & Boosting

Boost tokens are a virtual currency on MatchzClassified that you can use to promote your listings. When you boost a listing, it is pushed to the top of search results for a set period, giving it significantly more visibility and clicks. Tokens can be purchased in packages or are included with paid subscription plans.
Boost durations depend on how many tokens you spend. A standard boost costs five tokens for one day, twelve tokens for three days, or twenty-five tokens for seven days. During the boost period, your listing will appear prominently at the top of relevant search results.

Safety

Every listing and profile has a "Report" button. Click it to submit a report to our moderation team, selecting the reason for your report. Our team reviews all reports promptly and takes appropriate action, which may include removing listings or suspending accounts. You can also contact us directly via our contact page.
We take data privacy extremely seriously. Your personal information is stored securely using industry-standard encryption. We are fully GDPR compliant and never share your data with third parties without your explicit consent. You can review and delete your data at any time from your account settings.

Account Management

Click the "Login" link in the header and then select "Register". You will need to provide your name, email address, and a password. After registration, you will receive a verification email. Click the link in that email to activate your account and gain access to all features.
Click "Login" and then "Forgot Password". Enter the email address associated with your account, and we will send you a password reset link. The link is valid for sixty minutes. If you do not receive the email, check your spam folder or contact our support team.
Yes, you can delete your account at any time from your dashboard settings. Account deletion is permanent and will remove all your listings, messages, and personal data from our platform. If you have an active subscription, make sure to cancel it first to avoid further charges.

Messaging

Our built-in messaging system lets you communicate directly with advertisers or browsers without sharing personal contact information. To start a conversation, visit a listing and click the "Send Message" button. All messages are stored securely on our platform and can be accessed from the Messages section in your dashboard.
Yes, within any conversation you can block the other user to prevent further contact, or report the conversation to our moderation team if you experience any inappropriate behaviour. Blocked users cannot send you new messages or view your profile.
